HIP AND SCIATICA

The majority of people suffering from ongoing pain deep in their hip do so due to the deep intrinsic muscles that internally and externally rotate the hip joint.

The pain is often misdiagnosed by doctors and other health care practitioners. Even in the event of correct diagnoses, the muscles that are causing the pain are extremely difficult for a therapist to get to and release as they are underneath the major superficial muscles of your gluteals/ buttocks. It takes an intuitive & experienced practitioner to effectively access these areas.

This is the main reason people suffer from long term hip pain even after seeing countless specialists and health care practitioners.

HOW WE ERADICATE HIP PAIN
Due to our hands on approach to treatment, we dedicate all our treatment time initially on releasing the superficial muscles of the buttocks. This allows us to work deeper, as the superficial muscles are released. Once we can work deeper, the direction of our strokes change to work directly on the deep intrinsic muscles that are causing the patient pain. It is our thorough understanding of the anatomy and direction the deep muscles of the hip run along with our deep tissue techniques dedicated to releasing extremely tight muscles.

To release these muscles still must use our slow and deliberate strokes. It takes a lot of strength and control to maintain the strokes required to release these muscles properly. It is something that took us a long time to build enough strength and control to master.

SCIATIC PAIN
An extremely common source of sciatic pain (sciatica) is a result of interference and or inflammation surround the sciatic nerve deep in hip where the sciatic nerve runs past the priformis muscle.

Tension present in piriformis muscles as pictured above compromises the nerve space effecting conductivity of the sciatic nerve. This is why people will get referred signals down the back of the leg. The signals can be sharp pain, tingling or numbness.

HOW WE SUCCESSFULLY REMOVE SCAITIC PAIN

We release the tension present in all of the deep intrinsic muscles of the hip, notably the piriformis muscle.
In most cases pain is instantly removed along with referred signals sown the back of the leg.
